Update: Scheduled Maintenance and Service Migration in August 2025

Migration Update

The planned infrastructure work has continued to progress successfully. Below is the current status:

Status

  • Frontend & CMS
    Already successfully migrated, no issues.
  • Customer Data & Auth
    Migration completed over the weekend.
    Note: On Sunday, an issue with the Auth service caused a disruption. User accounts were temporarily unavailable, and login/account access was not possible.
    The issue was identified and successfully resolved on Monday, 18.08.2025.
  • Support
    Migration still pending. Preparations are ongoing, with the switchover planned for the night of Friday, 22.08.2025, to Saturday, 23.08.2025.

Infrastructure

With these steps, we have migrated our services from Hetzner Cloud VMs to our own Hetzner Dedicated Server Cluster. Further infrastructure adjustments may follow, but will be announced separately.

What’s happening

We are upgrading our infrastructure to boost stability, performance and security. This requires scheduled maintenance over the next few days.

Window

  • Frontend: already migrated to new systems. No downtime expected.
  • CMS: also already migrated successfully. No further work required.
  • Customer Data, Auth, Logging: maintenance during the night from Friday, 15 Aug 2025, to Saturday, 16 Aug 2025. The site will switch to maintenance mode while database migration is in progress. Short periods of unavailability may occur.
  • Support: handled separately. Exact timing will be announced soon.

Impact

  • Orders are available as usual outside the maintenance window.
  • During maintenance mode, login, account pages and some features may be temporarily unavailable.
  • No data will be lost. All transactions resume normally after completion.

This migration improves scalability, reduces latency and enhances monitoring and security, ensuring a stable experience even under high demand.
