The shop was already in solid technical shape. Payment choice was already broad, from SEPA to cards, wallets and Bitcoin. Finom, SumUp and GoCardless are extra routes, not a checkout rebuild. This update is current as of Wednesday, 19 August 2026.
Checkout barely changes visually. What we followed up is the flow behind it and the copy in Legal: addresses, age checks, unpaid orders, login, terms, privacy, imprint and withdrawal.
The catalogue and product prices stay the same. You do not need to change your account. The legal pages apply from the date above to new orders and new accounts.
What is changing
Checkout keeps the layout you already know. The small addition is in the step overview: the shipping price also sits next to the shipping step when the block is collapsed.
On top of that come address checks when you save, a visual age check on the first delivery that needs it, automatic cancellation of unpaid orders after 14 days, sign-in in the Remicals.de design, and updated pages under Legal.
SEPA payee, bank, IBAN and BIC sit on the matching card under payment methods, for Qonto and Finom once the account data is set. The other payment routes keep running. Details on the new routes are in New payment methods.
Checkout
You already saw the shipping price at checkout: on the shipping method card and in the grand total. That stays.
The same amount now also sits as a badge next to the shipping step in the overview. If you switch method, the amount updates. It is a small orientation cue, not a new checkout layout.
You still accept the terms before you submit. If the cart has physical goods, the withdrawal notice sits at checkout. If it has digital content, such as store credit, you also confirm the withdrawal notice for that content. Without that confirmation, the order does not go through.
Addresses
When you save a delivery address, we check the spelling against the carrier. If street or house number differs from the expected form, we apply the suggestion and you save again.
The aim is fewer follow-ups and fewer parcels that cannot be delivered because of street names, spelling or house numbers. You see the suggestion in the form, not only after dispatch.
Sign-in and account
Sign-in and registration now use the dedicated Remicals.de design. Dark background, purple accents, the same colours as the shop. The previous default login is gone.
When you create an account, you must confirm the terms and the privacy policy. The links go to the shop pages. Without the checkbox, no account is created.
Account emails, such as password setup or confirmation, use the same brand colour and signature. Existing accounts stay as they are. You only see the new layout the next time you sign in. Password, addresses and orders stay the same.
Shipping and age verification
Packaging and process stay: discreet, neutral parcel, no logo on the box. Invoices live digitally in your account, not as paper in the carton. Details are on the shipping page.
For new customers without a previous age check, the carrier books a visual age check. The parcel is handed over only to adults. ID may be requested at the door.
After a successful delivery with a passed check, later orders skip the visual age check. If you already have a successful order with a check, nothing changes for you. Digital content with no physical delivery is not affected.
Open orders
Orders in status waiting for payment are cancelled automatically after 14 days if no payment arrives. Stock is released again.
Paid, in progress or already shipped orders are not affected. A cancellation after that period is not a withdrawal and not a rejection after payment has arrived.
If you pay by bank transfer, sending the amount within that window and using the reference from the order is enough. A real-time transfer shortens the wait, but is not required as long as the payment arrives in time. If payment arrives after the automatic cancellation, write a support ticket with order number and proof of payment.
Legal pages
Under Legal, the terms, privacy policy, imprint and withdrawal pages now match the running shop. Those pages use the formal address. The shop still uses you.
The terms cover, among other points, contract formation, the current payment routes, unpaid orders after 14 days, the wallet, the 18+ age confirmation, and withdrawal split between physical goods and digital content. On mixed orders, withdrawal applies to each part separately.
The privacy policy describes the current payment routes, address checks before dispatch, and tracking. Tracking stays off by default until you enable it.
The imprint has the provider details under the DDG, the LUCID number for the Packaging Act, and the note that we do not take part in consumer arbitration.
The statutory withdrawal period is 14 days from receipt of the goods. Exceptions, return costs and the model form are under withdrawal. A simple message is enough, in writing or via the contact form. Digital content can lose the right of withdrawal once you consent to immediate performance and the content is activated, under Section 356 (6) BGB. Until activation, you can still withdraw. The same notice sits at checkout, on the invoice and in the order email.
What this means for you
- Checkout: the layout stays. In the step overview, the shipping price now also sits next to the shipping step, even when collapsed.
- Address: spelling suggestions when you save, so the parcel can be delivered.
- Payment: existing routes stay. Finom, SumUp and GoCardless are extra routes, covered in new payment methods. SEPA bank details on the payment methods page.
- Login: sign-in and registration in the Remicals.de design. On registration, confirm the terms and the privacy policy, otherwise no account is created.
- Delivery: visual age check on the first delivery that needs it and has no previous check. After that it drops away.
- Open transfer: after 14 days without payment, the order is cancelled.
- Legal pages: updated terms, privacy, imprint and withdrawal. Start at Legal. Statutory withdrawal period 14 days from receipt for physical goods.
This update does not change the catalogue, product prices or the payment methods that were already running.
