We are delighted to present our latest update of the shop software to version 2.0! In the last few months we have worked hard to further improve your shopping experience. We have used valuable learnings from the past and implemented many exciting innovations. Here is an overview of everything that has changed:

Significantly faster loading times
Thanks to extensive optimization of the caching system and the reduction of unnecessary API requests, our pages now load much faster. For you, this means less waiting time and an even smoother shopping experience.

New checkout flow for more security
The checkout process has been fundamentally revised to complete orders more efficiently and securely. The process now takes place in two steps:
- First, the order data is recorded and temporarily stored in a message queue.
- The data is then processed on the server side by a message queue worker.
During this processing, you remain on the checkout success page until your order is completely completed. This new process not only fixes errors when sending emails (for example, if the browser window was closed too early), but also prevents duplicate orders. In addition, the checkout area remains locked until the order has been processed - this offers you even more clarity.

Automated refunds
Another highlight of this update: Refunds can now be processed directly via our shop software. For the payment providers PayPal, Klarna and Stripe, this process is now fully automated. Previously, we had to process refunds manually, but now everything runs smoothly and much faster.

Start of the affiliate program
We have introduced an affiliate program! You can already share your personal links with others and recruit customers. Even though the affiliate program is currently being expanded, every customer you recruit will remain permanently stored in your account - your future earning opportunities are secured.

Improved protection against DDoS attacks
Attacks on our systems, such as DDoS attacks, have increased recently. In order to continue to be able to offer you a stable and secure shopping experience, we have improved our infrastructure and implemented measures to protect us from such attacks. This means that our shop remains accessible even in critical times.

Bug bounty program
We want to actively involve you in improving our shop! If you discover a bug, you can simply report it by email to support@remicals.de. For every vulnerability found and reported, we will reward you with a reward as part of our bug bounty program. Help us make our shop even better!

Various bug fixes and optimizations
In addition to the major innovations, we have fixed many smaller errors and made additional improvements that further increase the general stability and user-friendliness of the shop.
