Chemical properties
O-DSMT (O–desmethyltramadol) is an opioid that acts as an agonist at the mu opioid receptor and at the same time acts as a norepinephrine receptor inhibitor. This unique profile makes it particularly interesting for scientists and researchers who want to better understand the interactions in the human body.
Origin and structure
O–Desmethyltramadol is a metabolite of tramadol, but it differs significantly from tramadol in that it does not have serotonergic effects. The absence of this serotonergic activity could theoretically result in a lower likelihood of side effects.
Racemic mixture
O-DSMT is present as a racemate, which means that the two enantiomers are present in a mixing ratio of 50:50. It is important to note that this ratio may vary depending on the batch. Researchers should take this into account in their investigations to achieve precise and reproducible results. We offer the racemate in HCL form.
